Outcome-Driven Innovation (ODI) is a strategy and Innovation process developed by Anthony W. Ulwick (Anthony Ulwick). It is built around the theory that people buy products and services to get jobs done.[1] As people complete these jobs, they have certain measurable outcomes that they are attempting to achieve.[2] It links a company's value creation activities to customer-defined metrics. Ulwick found that previous innovation practices were ineffective because they were incomplete, overlapping, or unnecessary.[1] ODI attempts to identify important but poorly served, and unimportant but over-served, jobs and outcomes. ODI focuses on customer-desired outcome rather than demographic profile in order to segment markets and offer well-targeted products.[2] Ulwick was granted the first of twelve patents on the ODI process in 1999... Clayton Christensen credits Ulwick and Richard Pedi of Gage Foods with the way of thinking about market structure used in the chapter "What Products Will Customers Want to Buy?" in his Innovator's Solution and called "jobs to be done" or "outcomes that customers are seeking".[3] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Outcome-Driven_Innovation (more)

The WikiWikiWeb is the first ever Wiki, or user-editable website. It was launched on 25 March 1995 by its inventor, programmer Ward Cunningham, to accompany the Portland Pattern Repository website discussing software Design Patterns. The name WikiWikiWeb originally also applied to the wiki software that operated the website, written in the Perl programming language and later renamed to "WikiBase". The site is frequently referred to by its users as simply "Wiki", and a convention established among users of the early network of wiki sites that followed was that using the word with a capitalized W referred exclusively to the original site. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WikiWikiWeb (more)

WritingSlowly: The card index (index card) system is ‘a thing alive’ - or is it? Niklas Luhmann, the famed sociologist of Bielefeld, Germany, wrote of how he saw his voluminous working notes (his ‘Zettelkasten’) as a kind of conversation partner (rubber ducking), which surprised him from time to time. But he wasn’t the first to suggest that a person’s notes might be in some sense alive. (more)

Theory Of Constraints Thinking Processes (more)

One of the thinking processes in the theory of constraints (ToC Thinking Processes), a current reality tree (CRT) is a tool to analyze many systems or organizational problems at once. By identifying root causes common to most or all of the problems, a CRT can greatly aid focused improvement of the system. A current reality tree is a directed graph. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Current_reality_tree_(theory_of_constraints) (more)
